91 Traffic Crawls Through Corona Friday After Multi-Car Crash

In Corona on Friday morning, a significant traffic jam occurred on the 91 Freeway following a multi-car crash. The incident unfolded when an eastbound silver Dodge truck, towing a sizable trailer, lost control and collided with four other vehicles. This collision led to the closure of lanes #1, 2, and 3 for over an hour as authorities worked to clear the wreckage. The #2 and 3 Fastrack lanes were also blocked during the cleanup process. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

To address the situation, multiple tow trucks were dispatched to the scene around 10 a.m. However, they too became ensnared in the traffic, causing further delays, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The traffic congestion extended eastbound from the 241 toll road onto the 91 Eastbound Freeway, reaching as far as the Weigh Station and the Imperial Highway exit in Anaheim, disrupting travel for several hours on Friday. Additionally, during the incident, westbound drivers experienced slowdowns before reaching Maple Street and West Sixth Street in Corona.
