A SigAlert was issued on Monday following a rollover accident on the 5 Freeway in Newhall. The incident occurred around 1:17 p.m., and emergency responders were alerted to a traffic collision near the junction of the 5 and 14 Freeways, as reported by Kaitlyn Aldana from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Initial reports indicated the involvement of potentially two vehicles, with only one patient being transported for medical attention, according to Aldana. Inside the vehicle that rolled over, at least two occupants were trapped at the time of the collision.
As a result of the incident, a 30-minute SigAlert was issued for the No. 6 lane of the southbound 5 Freeway, situated south of Newhall Avenue. This SigAlert was documented in incident logs maintained by the California Highway Patrol (CHP)
